You can use Special:Upload on the wiki to upload the images.

   http://localhost:8080/mediawiki/Special:Upload

You can also use the script maintenance/importImages.php to import a directory of files

in ./apps/mediawiki/htdocs/LocalSettings.php add:

   $wgFileExtensions[] = 'pdf';
